Gallagher’s Gym comes to Marbella!

 

Last week MGM were very pleased to welcome Gallagher’s Gym from Manchester to train at MGM. Joe Gallagher, a former of trainer of Matthew Macklin, bought his latest fighters, Callum Smith, Steven Smith, Liam `Beefy´ Smith, Antony Crolla and Scott Cardle, to show them what the gym had to offer.

“MGM gym has excellent facilities and caters for everybody from starter to professional with treatment rooms, sauna and steam rooms,” said Joe, “We stayed the week and were hugely impressed by the facilities and the support of the team at the gym, we will be back in the near future for training camps for the upcoming title fights of Gallagher´s Gym fighters.”

Gallagher´s Gym, based at Gloves Community Centre in Bolton provided by Amir Khan, is in it´s 11th season and is growing from strength to strength.
It has had fighters win;

• 2 young boxing writers of the year awards,
• 3 English,
• 1 WBC Youth,
• 2 Commonwealth,
• 6 British,
• 3 European,
• 1 WBO intercontinental,
• 1 WBA world Interim titles and
• 2 world title Challengers; Matthew Macklin and John Murray.

Joe Gallagher trained Matthew for 2 years 2009-11 which saw him win a British and 2 European titles plus a World Title Challenge to Felix Sturm, which unfortunately resulted in Matthew losing to a controversial split decision.
