Exciting young prospect Declan Geraghty makes his professional debut on Friday 9th May at the ICE Sheffield under promotor David Coldwell’s “UNLEASHED” Bill. The 23 year old Irishman who recently joined MGM’s growing team will be making his first appearance as a professional under Coach Seamus Macklin and the MGM team.
After more than 250 amateur fights which saw him win 12 Irish Championships, The Crumlin graduate, will be working alongside fellow Dubliner Anthony Fitzgerald as well as ‘Tipperary Tornado’ Matthew Macklin in MGM, “Working with Seamus has being great. We get along with each other and understand each other. He has being showing me new things and we are focusing on certain things l need to be doing different in the pro ranks. For example I am focusing on hitting a lot harder and stuff along those lines,” added Geraghty.
Declan will face Liam Ellis, from Aldershot, a 24 year old light welterweight with 11 fights as a professional, over 4 x 3 minute rounds.
